  • I had great fun with this composition, positioning all the sheep together to create a long, panoramic painting. A big thank you to my local farmer friend, who let me get very close to her beautiful sheep.

    Sheep have very good memories. They can remember at least 50 individual sheep and humans for years. Sheep are precocial and gregarious, enjoying the company of others in their flock. They are extremely intelligent animals capable of problem solving, and are considered to have a similar IQ level to cattle and almost as clever as pigs.
