Acrylic on Belle Arti Cotton canvas box stretched onto museum quality pine stretcher bars.

This painting was a request from one of the commercial company in the UK that I work for. The concept proposed was a composition of five piglets in a group, in my distinct style, with creative background.

For this painting, I used more than six photo references, to bring this large 40'' x 20'' painting to life.

 

Pigs are incredibly intelligent animals, even more so than dogs. Their eyesight is poor, but they compensate by possessing an exceptional sense of smell. Their noses are also sensitive to touch, and they often move about with their noses plowing into the ground as they feel around and sniff out food within the soil.
