“ANGEL ACADEMY OF ART”
I am very grateful once again, for the amazing opportunity to study at the Angel Academy in Florence for a second time. It surpassed my expectations and I have taken away a great deal of knowledge and practical experience. Each tutor shared their incredible knowledge and understanding of the art at the highest level possible. The atmosphere in the Academy was outstanding and very professional. Meeting the creator of the Academy, John Angel, and spending time at his lectures and classes was an awe-inspiring bounty throughout this intense course. John helped further my understanding and answered many of my questions.
This is the artwork I have completed during my one month intense training course at the Academy.
Since the completion of the Academy in Florence, I am now open to taking people portrait commissions.

“Eve”

Oil on Hand-Made Gessoed High Quality 450gr Canvas
'Eve' is part of my Adam and Eve project, following my own interpretation and composition in the style of grisaille, with extra colour tones to create sculptural realism through the painting.
Creating my own artistic rendition of the serpent with Eve is lots of fun, translating the sculptural effect with realism. I am hopeful that I will satisfy that which I endeavour to portray. There are innumerable fascinating interpretations of the serpent with the forbidden fruit who tempted Eve, which is akin to the never ending stories throughout the history of all legendary tales. I have researched several, and they are all quite striking and could be very broadly translated.
I am spoiled for choice on what to write to go with my painting. One day I’ll have a go and gather some interesting facts to accompany my portrayal of these legends.
I have taken in great inspiration from the old masters artworks, of which many of them like Albert Durer, depicted Adam and Eve in their own style. I felt so grateful for the opportunity to see his original paintings in person while studying in Florence.

The Stag evokes the essence of Wintertime in its traditional representation of the spirit of Yuletide. The reindeer stag is a reminder of the Norse 'Horned god' and the Pagan ancestry of Christmas.
"SPARTAN'S FOOT"
A new addition to my sculpture collection, created to match the painting of the “Guardian”. It is presently drying, and I’m looking to take a cast copy of this sculpture when it is ready.
